The annual conference of ECAS 2021 was uccessfully closed in Shenzhen on December 16. More than 70 people, including representatives of member enterprises of ECAS (Electronic Component Application and Supply Chain Branch of CIITA), leaders of the government departments of the industry and representatives of upstream and downstream social organizations of the industrial chain, attended the event. They jointly highlighted the direction and brought together the strength for the long-term development of the electronic component industry chain.
Jiangsu Feiliks International Logistics Co., Ltd., as a new member of ECAS Association, also participated in this activity. It made in-depth exchanges with professionals in the electronic component industry, and shared its experience in serving the logistics supply chain of the electronic component industry.
Ms. Xiong Yuhong, Secretary General of ECAS, presided over the annual meeting and expressed welcome and thanks to all guests present. Ms. Xiong Yuhong said, “there have been too many changes in the electronics industry in 2021. I believe everyone has the similar experience and hopes to work together. Tonight, we gather here to create an open and sharing atmosphere and allow partners upstream and downstream of the industrial chain to communicate freely and deeply.”
Zhou Jiguo, President of ECAS, made a summary report of the Chamber of Commerce in 2021 to all member units. He said that integrated circuit is a highly international industry. The whole industry mainly includes key links such as design, manufacturing, sealing test and distribution. The components are sent to terminal manufacturers through distribution enterprises in the last step. The latest industry layout is as follows: upstream design is mainly in Europe, America, Japan and Korea; midstream manufacturing is in China mainland, China Taiwan and Korea; and sealing is mainly in southeastern Asia. This industry with high requirements of international division of labor must need supply chain services to smooth the industrial circulation. Therefore, electronic component distribution enterprises need to comply with the development needs of the industrial chain, constantly innovate and upgrade, and closely connect the upstream and downstream of the whole electronic industry chain by providing comprehensive supply chain services such as technical support, application innovation, talent reserve and capital resources.
Especially in the past two years when the market fluctuated greatly, the “reservoir” role that component distributors play has become more and more important. Zhou Jiguo said, “In 2021, the growth rate of global integrated circuits is 20%, which has been the highest level since 2010. In this year, enterprises that can show stable supply to customers, whether upstream original manufacturers or distributors, will have good harvest. In the future, ECAA will continue to serve as the platform, make progress with member enterprises and promote the all-round development of China’s electronic component supply chain!”
Then, a member awarding ceremony was held in the conference. The leaders of the Chamber of Commerce successively awarded medals to the chairman unit, vice chairman unit, director unit, expert committee and member unit, and took a group photo with enterprise representatives.
